During her teen years she was a member of her high school marching band and a majorette, actively co-organizing the Marilynnettes Baton and Marching Drill Team. Wilma personally won several baton competitions. She graduated from Scott High School with excellent marks. She enjoyed modeling for LaSalles/Macys for charitable events, including The Sapphire Ball. She loved a great social scene, whether it be dancing, parties, cook-outs, or just lunch with family and friends. Christmas being her favorite holiday, she always held Christmas Eve festivities with good food, good cheer and presents for family and friends in her beautifully decorated home. Birthdays were a special time for Mimi to let the kids know she was thinking about them. She never forgot. The most important thing in Wilma’s life was her family. More then anything, she wanted to see them happy. She loved her daughter, sister, brothers and grandchildren dearly, with all of her being, with all of her heart. Farewell to our beloved Matriarch.
