. William B. Robinson (Bill), 94 peacefully went home to his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2016. He was born on January 24, 1922 to his loving parents William B. Sr. and Bessie (Limburg) Robinson in Lenoir City, TN. Bill was a graduate of Libbey High School. On November 29, 1941 Bill married the love of his life, Marjorie Verol Barnes in Toledo, OH. The Lord blessed them with four loving sons: Kenneth (Tamera), Brent (Linda), Val (Shirley) and Mark (Joyce). Bill cherished his 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Always proud of their large family, Bill and Verol could provide a running tally of their grandchildren and the list was always growing Forever a man of strength and patriotism, Bill served his country for 3 years in the United States Navy. He fought for our freedom in World War II and could be seen enjoying veteran events in the community. Also a man of devoted Christian faith, Bill was a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Swanton, OH. That faith was something that he passed on to his family, who respected and loved him very much. A born leader, Bill was the Grandmaster of the Swanton Masonic Lodge #555 twice (now the Wauseon Lodge #359). He also belonged to the Scottish Rite and Zenobia Shrine of Toledo. Being an incredibly hard worker, Bill was employed as a Machinist for 40 years at Champion Spark Plug. Concurrently, he was also employed at W.E. Baker Engineering as a Tool and Die Maker for 25 years. Bill’s love of working with his hands led to a myriad of hobbies, including proudly owning and maintaining Harley Davidson motorcycles, various Corvettes, other muscle cars, snowmobiles and even fixing bicycles in his spare time. Bill and Verol could be seen arriving at family reunions on their motorcycle with a hot dish to share. They could also cut a rug on the dance floor as both of them truly had a passion for dance, bowling, camping at Hoeft State Park, NASCAR and University of Michigan football! Bill greatly enjoyed spending summers with his family and friends at cottages on Vineyard and Pleasant Lakes. After retiring at age 62, Bill and Verol began spending the winter months at their home in warm Zephyrhills, FL, where many memories were made with their friends. They would travel back to their home in Swanton to visit with their family in the summer months. Bill was preceded in death by his devoted wife Verol, his parents, two sisters Patty Thorpe and Winifred Karwhite-King and his loving son Brent.
