Thomas Howard Zanter

Thomas H. Zanter, 77, of Toledo, passed away on January 25, 2023 at his home. Tom was born in Toledo on August 6, 1945 to Norman and Anna (Kohl) Zanter.

Tom worked for and retired from Heidtman Steel. He was a proud owner of a 1968 GTO and was a member of both the GTO Club and the Old Strokers. Tom enjoyed playing euchre and loved most of all spending time with his family. He was quick witted and loved to tell jokes.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Tammy Zanter. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nela; daughter, Tonya (Mike) Walsh; grandchildren, Myriah Madden, Brittnee Rowan, and Autumn Rowan; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Madelyn, Declan and Cooper; brother, Norman (Bernadine) Zanter; and sister, Debra Jacob.

Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, January 31st, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions are requested to be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church or the Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital.
