Richard P. "Dick" Sheamer

Richard P. "Dick" Sheamer, 88, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 14, 1935 in Toledo OH to Samuel and Pauline (Gantz) Sheamer.

Dick graduated from Macomber H.S.in 1952, and was a life-long resident of Toledo.

He began as a bricklayer working with his father, and was a self-employed mason contractor for over 50 years. He worked on projects all over the Toledo area. He also enjoyed flipping houses and cottages in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Barbara (Sinay) and four sons: Richard, Steven (Mary Ann), Randall (Dawn), and Scott (Kristina); grandchildren: Stephanie (Ray) Klawitter, Adam, Christina (Rob) Bevins, Steven (Alexa), Jennifer (John) Davis, Wesley, Dean, Derrick, Joseph, Bethany (Christian) Wyckhouse and Scott; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Deborah (Gunn) Sheamer.

Visitation will be 2-6 pm March 28 at Walter funeral home 4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday March 29 at Walter.
