Raymond Eugene "Gene" Hayton

HAYTON Raymond Eugene “Gene” Raymond Eugene “Gene” Hayton, 81, of Toledo, passed away on June 3, 2017 at his home. Gene worked for C&O Railroad for 13 years and later went to work for National Automatic Sprinkler until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Road Sprinkler Fitters Local 669. Gene was an avid pool player and was rated the second best player in Toledo at one time. Gene is survived by daughters Denise Hampton Kimmerling (Michael) and Lisa Chirinos (Juan); son Raymond Hayton; sisters Margaret and Linda; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and special family friend Gail Mistiatis (Jim). He was preceded by parents Edward and Iva Hayton and daughter Debra Jo Stephens. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7th , from 11 am to 1 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
