Pamela J. Carlton, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born in Toledo, OH on October 16, 1948 to Jere and Shirley Carlton. She was a 1966 graduate of E.L. Bowsher High School. She worked for the Scottish Rite Masons for many years, retiring in 2012, and for a time volunteered at the Victory Center. Pam was a kind and generous woman who made friends wherever she went and would be the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She developed a love for sewing at a young age which continued throughout her life. Her true devotion was to her children and grandchildren. Pam will be sadly missed by her children, Yvonne Packer, Jere (Larisa) LeBowsky, and Christopher Reed; daughter-in-law Carla Reed; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; mother, Shirley (Carlton) Mawhorter (Tom); sisters, Karen Carlton, Nancy (Scott) Vandewalker and Jenny (Bob) Lovano; step-sister Sue (Charlie) Zuccarell; step-brother Steve (Pam) Mawhorter; Aunt Joyce (Carlton) Stambaugh; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her father, Jere, preceded her in death. A casual, informal celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, June 25th. at 1pm at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio. A memorial service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home.
