Mayvilla Elizabeth “Honey” Sidel was called home March 11th while wintering in Sun Lakes, Arizona with her son and daughter. Honey was born on January 23, 1923 in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was the daughter of Olen and Maude Fairchild who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alvin G. Sidel; her son, Alvin “Red” Sidel as well as her sisters Verdie Hubbel and Phyllis Fairchild and brother Nellis Lane Fairchild. Left to cherish her memory are her son Nellis Lane (Connie) Sidel, daughter Jacqueline (Dan) Boudrie; grandchildren Bryan(Connie), Jason(Tina) and Lance(Karen) Sidel; Joe Boudrie, Jeannine (Beau) Johnson and Jay Boudrie. Twelve great-grandchildren (Bryce and Gabe Sidel; Jordan and Zachary Sidel; Seth, Destiny and Bailey Sidel; Clark and Gemini Boudrie; Mattie, Jack and Ross Johnson) as well as her sister Bonnie Schnapp and brother Olen (Judy) Fairchild also survive. Mom was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. You never left her house hungry if she had her way. She always had a good word to say about everyone. Her favorite past-time was going to the casino where she seldom won but always “had a good time!” We all loved her and will greatly miss her. A memorial service and interment with her husband Alvin in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
