Mary Frances Wicks Mary Frances Wicks, 87, died Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Bryan, Ohio. She was born January 21, 1930 to Edward and Margaret (Sharpe) Maher and was a lifelong resident of Toledo, living 82 years on Monterey Ct. Mary graduated from Central Catholic High in 1948 and worked in the dietary department at St. Charles Hospital. She was a longtime member and volunteer at St. James Parish and later joined Immaculate Conception. She was a member of the Toledo Irish American Club and loved baking the bread for sale at the Irish Festival. Her children were a big part of her life which led to her volunteering as a girl scout and boy scout leader. Mary organized the annual Maher Reunion because she enjoyed being around family. She loved being Irish and cherished Irish music and attending Irish festivals. She will be missed. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carlton and her son Michael. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, sons John (Mary) and Chris (Trish), 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister Patricia Trettin. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Walter Funeral Home 4653 Glendale Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Toledo Monday, January 8th, at 10 a.m... Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital are suggested.
