Mary “Margaret” Kesling Isaacson, age 80, of Maumee, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 29, 2017. She was born to Darrell and Margret Kesling on January 10, 1937. She attended Libbey High School and graduated in 1955. After graduating from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing, she served as a Registered Nurse at many of the surrounding doctors’ offices until her retirement. Mary was a life-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church in South Toledo and served on the counting crew, sang in the choir, and played the hand bell. She was a member of Shrine (LOSNA), Eastern Stars, Jesterettes, a volunteer fireman/EMT for the Monclova Fire Department and was a member of the Toledo Hospital Alumni Association. Mary had a love for travelling, eating at her favorite restaurants (Loma Linda’s), crocheting, knitting, quilting, and playing cards with her brothers and their wives as well as researching her family’s genealogy. Her favorite past time of all, was spending time with her family and the many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell A. Kesling Sr. and Margret C. (Keyser) Kesling, her sister, Dorothy, and her brothers, Darrell “Skip” Jr., and Robert. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Edward of 60 years; her children, Douglas (Robin) Isaacson, Dan Isaacson, Catherine Perez, Janet (Jason) Jacobs; grandchildren, Chelsea (Louis) Lockwood, Alonzo Lewis, Jonathan May, Avant’e (Kunal Bindra) Lewis, Amanda (Bryan) Cajka, Jacob (Kelby) Isaacson, Joshua Isaacson, Charlotte Perez, Jason Jacobs II, and Zachary Isaacson; her great-grandchildren, Rhett Lockwood and Kaynen Bindra. Also surviving are her siblings, William (Phyllis), Ralph (Rhoda), Charles (Norma), and sister-in-law, Nancy Kesling and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled Thursday, June 1st from 3 – 7 PM at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 2nd at 10:30 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1853 South Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s honor with Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and/or a charity of your choice.
