Mark Allan Riley, age 63, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 29th, 2024.

 

He was born on October 11th, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of James and Lois (Klosterhaus) Riley. Mark graduated from Macomber Vocational Technical High School in 1979, specializing in auto mechanics. He worked many years making and installing countertops, before switching to working in the automotive industry. He happily retired from Johnson Controls/Clarios in October 2023.

 

He was very passionate about cars, and enjoyed working on and racing many sports cars throughout the years. He loved watching NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He also enjoyed watching and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Red Wings. Mark always had a big heart and loved animals, especially dogs. He also enjoyed being outside, camping, and grilling out for friends and family.

 

Mark is survived by his twin daughters, Victoria (Austin) and Amanda; siblings Cathy (Jeff) Kuhman, Karen (Joseph) Rochowiak, and Michael (Helen) Riley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Riley.

 

A memorial visitation for friends and family will be held from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, at Walter Funeral Home (4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614), followed by a private interment.

 

Contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to Dirty Paws Agape Haven, a local nonprofit shelter for senior dogs.
