Marilyn K. Jackson, 85, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Detroit Avenue. She was born in Toledo on April 1, 1931 to J. Howard and Florence (Boes) Kerstetter. Marilyn was a 1950 graduate of Libbey High School and a graduate of the nursing program at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland. Marilyn worked as an RN at several area hospitals, including the former Maumee Valley Hospital, Toledo Hospital and St. Vincent Medical Center. Marilyn married her husband Donald Jackson on November 8, 1952. Marilyn and Don were both very active members of the former Broadway United Methodist Church where they loved singing in the choir. After Broadway closed they became members of the Church of St. Andrew UMC. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren Chad Pemberton and Melissa Jackson, one great-granddaughter Charlotte Sexton and daughter-in –law Linda Hauschulz. She is survived by her husband Donald, children Melinda (Mark) Sexton, Heather (Mike) LeGros, Donald Howard Jackson and Kathryn Cendrowski; 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother John Howard Kerstetter, Jr. and sister Phyllis Shrank. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 from 2 to 8 p.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM from Church of St. Andrew UMC, 3260 Heatherdowns Blvd., 43614. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
