Lois Lee Grasser, age 91, died at 7:56 a.m. on August 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. Lee and Margery Schultz Lee; her husband, Howard A. Grasser; her sister, Jean R. Knudel; and the last love of her life, Rev. John O. Maloy. She was one of a class of 24 to graduate from Lake High School in 1945 and a 1949 Bowling Green State University graduate. Lois was married to Howard A. Grasser in 1952. God gave them fifty-four years together and three daughters. In 2009, she met Rev. John Meloy - with whom she again found life worth living. Lois is survived by Pauline (Polly) Grasser, Kimberly (Kim) & Ray Porter, Sandra (Sandy) Grasser, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Lois was a recreational director at Luella Cummings Home, a stay-at-home mom, and a volunteer at various organizations all her life. She was a long-time member of Park Church, UCC and currently a member of First Presbyterian Church - Maumee. Lois felt the last thing she could do for others was to donate her body to the Anatomical Donation Program at the University of Toledo - that has now been accomplished. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the cardiovascular nursing staff at University of Toledo Medical Center, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and the staff of Ohio Living Swan Creek. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at a memorial service at Ohio Living Swan Creek, 5916 Cresthaven Lane (Toledo, OH), on Saturday, August 25th at 10:30 AM with a reception following. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Ohio Living Swan Creek. Please visit walterfuneralhome.com to leave condolences for the family.
