Laura E. Metz

Laura E. Metz, a dedicated nurse known for her loving and compassionate care of patients, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the age of 54 in Toledo, Ohio, where she resided with her beloved dog, Lucy.

Laura is survived by her son Kevin Davis (Adrienne), mother Karen Kaczmarek, and sister Barbara Clark. She was a devoted grammy to Nova, Wynne, Walter, and Elliott. Laura was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Metz.

Laura was born and raised in Toledo, attending Fairfield Elementary, Gateway Middle, and graduating from Whitmer High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree from the University of Toledo. Throughout her career, Laura was deeply committed to caring for her patients, and she will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and generosity to those in need.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 1pm to 6pm at the American Legion Post 642 at 2810 Airport Highway in Toledo, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Toledo Humane Society, a cause that was close to Laura's heart. The interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park. Laura's memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the love she shared with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
