Kerry E. Pelton, age 54, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 29, 2016 in at home hospice care after a year of fighting stage 4 cancer. He was born on February 13, 1962 in Toledo Hospital to Ivor and Jeanette. He attended Monclova Elementary and went on to graduate from Anthony Wayne High School in 1980. Kerry worked at Rinks Bargain City/Cooks from age 16, where he became a manager in 1984 until it closed. He went on to run the Spring Meadows branch of Hoover Company for 17 years. With the several years of experience he decided to venture out. Kerry founded Maumee Sweeper Center in August of 2002, where he appreciated the many relationships he gained with his customers. Kerry enjoyed many hobbies starting with stamp collecting as a child and grown into motorcycles and cars (especially Corvettes). He also had fun with remote aircraft, radios, trading stocks, and writing programs. His favorite of his hobbies was wood crafting and remodeling. Most of all, Kerry enjoyed spending time with his family. Kerry is survived by his loving wife of four years Shelley (Miller), mother Jeanette, son Josh, brother Larry (Annette) Pelton, sisters Beth (John) Raimonde, Cindy (Jim) Larimore, and Sue (Bruce) Shock, step children Jordan and Brooke, step grandson Hendrix, and many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday December 4, 2016 at Walter Funeral Home 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, OH. The funeral ceremony begin at 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. in Swanton Centerville Cemetery, County Rd. 1-1, Swanton, Ohio.
