ILSLEY John F. John F. Ilsley, 95, of Toledo passed away at Waterford at Levis Commons on Monday, August 8, 2016. He was born on January 6, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA to George F. and Stella (Sedat-Williams) Ilsley. John was an Army veteran serving in the south Pacific during WWII. He worked for 31 years as a milkman for the Sealtest and Babcock dairies, beginning his career back when milk was home delivered by horse and wagon. He later worked 7 years at Sylvania Southview High School as a custodian, finally retiring in 1985. John enjoyed golf, bowling and playing cards. He especially loved spending time with family and friends at his Nettle Lake, OH cottage. For several years, he and his wife divided their yearly times between that cottage and their retirement home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia (Sutton), sons Jon L. and Richard A. Ilsley and by his brother, Howard (Ted) Williams. He is survived by a daughter, Lana Maneval (Russell Jr.): grandchildren, Russell III and Jarrod Maneval, Krista Rollman and Richard Ilsley. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Jarrod Jr., Aubrey, Cody and Cheyenne Maneval, Paige Rollman and Lindsay and Angela Ilsley, as well as great-great-grandchild Clinton Eitniear. Friends may call on Monday, August 15th from 2-8 PM at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., where funeral services will be held Tuesday August 16th at 11 AM with burial to follow at Springfield Twp. Cemetery on Airport Hwy. Those wishing and expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of NW Ohio.
