Joanne F. Palencsar

Joanne F. Palencsar, 88, of south Toledo passed away at Ebeid Hospice on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 1927 to Glenn and Elsie Studer. She was a graduate of Libbey High School in 1946. Joanne was married to Robert Palencsar Sr. for 46 years until his passing in December 2010. Joanne and Bob enjoyed dancing to the big bands; spending time at their cottage in Coldwater, Michigan, and their involvement in the Eagles and Moose Lodges. Joanne was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Joanne is survived by her children Peggy (Kevin) Irwin, Connie (Tom) Marzec, step-children Sharon (Mike Sr.) Buckholtz and Robert Palencsar Jr; grandchildren Heather (Eric) Heinze, Mark Rauschart (Chuck Reitz), Eric Marzec, Colleen (Adam) Primm; great grandchildren Bryce, Fletcher, Anson and baby Primm due in the spring. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Joanne is now dancing in heaven with her husband Robert Sr., her parents, her sisters Pauline and Betty, brother Edward and all their spouses who have preceded Joanne in death. Her family in heaven is now complete. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue on Wednesday, March 2nd from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Brenda Piper, officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
