Joann M. Ehman

JoAnn M. (Henning) Ehman, 91, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, at the Lakes of Sylvania. JoAnn was born January 26, 1932, to Clifford and Ruth (Case) LaVoy here in Toledo.

JoAnn worked for Seaway Foodtown, as a buyer, for 29 years before she retired. She enjoyed going camping, shopping and watching her grand dogs when they came to visit.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Surprise, Donna Smith and Virginia Donnelly. She is survived by her children, Karen Brubaker (Mark), Cathy Carlo (Richard Heilman), Allen Henning and Carl Henning. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, on Thursday, February 16th, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be from the funeral home on Friday February 17th beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lakes of Sylvania for their wonderful care they gave to JoAnn. Memorial contributions, in JoAnn’s memory, may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
