Jesse J. Huerta

January 28, 1942 — April 12, 2023

Jesse J. Huerta passed away on April 12, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jesse was born on January 28, 1942, to Josefa Lopez and Chistoba Lopez. Jesse worked over 50 years in residential and commercial construction.

Jesse always instilled God, and family and work values to his children and grandkids. To always work hard, in everything you do!

He leaves behind to cherish all the great stories and memories, his loving wife Esther, his children, Liza, Chris (Debbie), Louie, Sylvia (Rick), Daniel, David, Pat (Krystal), Paul (Sherri), Melissa, and his sister Angelita Gomez, his grandchildren Vanessa, Breanna, Sergio, Corinna, Alexandra, Reana, Jessica, Jenna, Blake, Dylan, great grandchildren Avelena, Olivia, Graciella, Harlen, Timothy, Carlos, and Holden and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death, by his mother and father, his sister Julia Fabro, and his son Ben Huerta.

Jesse loved his family with all his heart. He loved working so much, whether it was at a job, or doing yard work. He loved playing board games, poker or just playing with his grand kids. At family gatherings, laughing and loudness, was part of our tradition. Creating memories the family will never forget. Jesse loved giving great advice and wisdom to his children, but also to others, who would inquire advice. He could turn a 5 minute talk, into a 2 hour conversation.

Jesse was a great husband, dad, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He also, said, “I’ve lived my life”,” and “when God calls for me, I’ll be ready”. Our family is grateful to God, to have him in our lives.

A private memorial service will take place on April 22, 2023, at Toledo Memorial Park Chapel at 11:00 am, for immediate family. Burial will follow immediately after the service.

The Huerta family appreciates all of the outpouring prayers and support to the family.
