Jeffery G. Lavoy

Jeffery G LaVoy, 73, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 10, 2017. Jeff worked at Ohio Table Pad Company for 38 years, retiring in 2011 as their CFO. He loved playing golf as a member of Heatherdowns CC and then Toledo CC, and scored a hole in one at each club. He also enjoyed watching Michigan football, boating on Lake James, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jeff grew up in Temperance, MI, attending Bedford High School, and was a member of the track team for 4 years, including selection to State Finals. He was an Eagle Scout and was selected to attend the Valley Forge Jamboree in 1957. Jeff then earned a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Toledo, and later received his C.P.A. Certification. After college he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam from 1966-1968. He met his wife Joyce (Schulte) through the Toledo Ski Club and was married in June 1977. Together they served as Treasurers at Epiphany Lutheran Church for 20 years, where they were also members. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Carol, and brother Terry LaVoy. He is survived by his wife Joyce, children Brian (Ali), Melissa, and Greg (Bobbie Jo), and 3 grandchildren, Mia, Noah, and Preston and by his sisters Linda Keil and Christine (Les) Manley. Family and friends may visit Friday, April 16, from 2-8PM at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave in Toledo. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 17, at 11:00AM at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 N. Reynolds Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany.
