Janice G. Fogel

Janice G. Fogel, 81, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 6, 2016. She was an active member of Maumee United Methodist Church. Jan had a very close group of friends with whom she had weekly bible study and lunches for many years. Jan loved to travel and did so for many years with her late husband, John, who passed away in 2008. They explored many parts of the country in their fifth wheel camper, as well as cruises and train trips. She enjoyed a good book as well as spending time on her iPad. Jan was prided on being the best caregiver; always being there for family and friends when needed. Jan is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, John. In addition to the love of her life she is preceded by her brother; Robert Grimes and Son-in-Law; Ron Kreft. Surviving are her children; Valerie Jurski, Vanessa Kreft, Lauren Fogel, Lisa (Duane) Graven, Brian Fogel and John Fogel. Grandchildren Kevin (Renee) Kreft, Kyle (Brittany) Kreft, Brad Fogel, Erick (Allison) Graven, Amber (Brian) Stanley, Nick (Lindsay) Graven, Alyssa Graven, Jake Fogel, Alex Fogel and Samantha (Bob) Knode. Great grandchildren Jacqueline, Benjamin, Brynn, Kailyn, Easton, Gavin, baby boy & baby girl twins coming in November 2016. Visitation will be at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Monday, May 9th, from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 10th, at 10 a.m., at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street, Maumee, Ohio. Jan’s final resting place will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to Alzheimer’s Association, or Maumee United Methodist Church.
