Helen C. Hollosi, 87, of Maumee, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 in hospice care. Helen was born Aug. 14, 1930 to Samol and Katherine Marenkow in Toledo. She and her husband John started and successfully developed the Anderson Bookkeeping service. Besides bookkeeper, she also held several office manager positions. One of her great loves was helping others which she channeled through volunteering. She provided time and devotion to Toledo Hospital ER, the Harris Macintosh Tower information desk, library and gift store. Her contributions to the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek included volunteering at the General Store, and the Women’s Auxiliary where she served several terms as President. She always had and loved dogs and eventually became an assistant handler for the Trinity Lutheran Comfort Dog Program. She had a great love for the city of Maumee and often stated that it was the greatest city in the world to raise a family. Other passions included church where she was always a very committed and devout Lutheran. She enjoyed travel and was always up for a road trip, regardless of the destination. Helen was a loving and passionate mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her as she was always concerned about others. She was known for all the hugs she gave. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John J. Hollosi. She is survived by her children Sandra (Gary) Collins, Todd (Roxane), Jon, and grandchildren Kimberly, Jonathon (Laurel) Collins, and Grant and Parker Hollosi. Special thanks to Dr. Kelly Emch, Mary Devine (Care Navigator), and the all nursing staff at Ebeid Hospice Residence for their care and support, and for everyone else who supported her these past years. A viewing will be held at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., Toledo on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Additional viewing will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Comfort Dog Ministry at www.trinitylutheran.org using the Giving tab or by mail.
