Guadalupe De Anda Jr.

Guadalupe De Anda Jr. was born to mother Guadalupe Cardenas and father Lupe O De Anda on December 21st, 1947. He had 13 siblings. He passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 2nd, 2022. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Judith Ann De Anda. She passed away on December 23rd 1999. They married on February 14th, 1971 and together had 10 children. Sean De Anda (Lisa), Katrina Brown (Tom), Eric De Anda (Andrea), Heather De Anda (Joe), Angie De Anda (Sam), Alaina De Anda, Alexis De Anda-Martinez (Adam), Pidge Garcia (Justin), Mary De Anda (Marquis), Katy De Anda (Dane). He was the proud grandfather of 37 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. In 1965 he enlisted in the Navy and served honorably on the USS Hull as a radio operator in Vietman. He was discharged on December 16th, 1968. While serving he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the 7th Fleet Citation. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9th at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, Ohio.
