Garry V Walczewski

Garry Vincent Walczewski, 69, died suddenly February 10, 2021, at the U of M Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Garry was born in Rossford on February 1, 1952. He took his first communion on May 6th, 1962 at St. Mary Magdalene Church. Garry graduated from Rossford High School in 1971 and he also earned a degree in Horticulture from Penta Vocational High School. On May 15, 1999, he married his longtime friend Brenda Bovee, with whom he celebrated 21 years of marriage. Garry was employed by Libbey-Owens-Ford for a short while before working for the Rossford School district for 31 years, beginning in 1983 all the way to his retirement in 2014. He loved watching auto auctions, listening to all kinds of music, and collecting rare coins. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda, sister Sharon Cooper (Walczewski), uncle Fred King, nephews Chad and Corey Cooper, four stepchildren, four grandnephews, a grandniece, seven step grandchildren and numerous friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Gertrude "Tootsie" and Walter Walczewski, his aunt Janet, and his uncles Benjamin, Joseph, James, and Andrew. Due to COVID-19, visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, Feb. 18th from All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Rd., Rossford. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Funeral service conducted by Walter Funeral Home, Toledo.
