Frances Cantu

Francisca “Frances” Cantu, 93, formerly of South Toledo and recently of Grand Rapids, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born on October 4, 1930 in Elsa, TX to Ramon Perez and Isabel (Guerra) Perez. She was a devoted housewife and Mother. Frances was the beloved matriarch and cornerstone of the Cantu family and will be greatly missed and always remembered in our hearts.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Baldemar B.C. Cantu who passed in 2004. She is survived by her Daughter: Bee (Matthew) Huss, Step-Daughter- Sylvia Cantu and Step-Son- Richard Cantu, Grandchildren: Joseph Cantu, Sophia (Phillip) Trout, Melinda (Eusebio) Martinez, Isabel (Daryl) Rabish and Michael (Yecenia) Cantu. Frances is also survived by her Great-Grandchildren; Aiden and Grayson Cantu, Ambrosia, Aaniyah, Austin and Marion Trout, Isaiah Cantu, Angelo Cantu and Olivia Rabish and Ileana and Michael Cantu, Jr.

Memorial Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Tuesday, December 12th, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at a later date in the spring at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville, Ohio.
