Eleanor G Huss

Eleanor G. Huss, 90, formerly of south Toledo, passed from this life to join her loving husband Albert on April 1, 2017 from the Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor. Eleanor was born in Toledo Ohio on January 10, 1927 to Irwin and Margaret Steinmeyer. A graduate of DeVilbiss high school, she married Albert on October 25, 1958 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Groff’s Hosiery and Laura’s Flower Shop. She was also a very active volunteer at the Margaret Hunt Senior Center and a longtime member of Faith Community United Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Hazel (Terry) Gleason. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Peggy (Stuart) Litchfield, grandson Michael (Erin) Bruss, great-grandson Blake Bruss, former son-in-law Mike (Cindy) Bruss and several nieces and nephews Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4th, from 4 to 8 p.m. atThe Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
