Dorothy Marie Smith (Wade)

Born of Dora and Fred Wade on April 11, 1939

Died November 13, 2024 @Age 85 in Sylvania, Ohio

from natural causes.

She is survived by her loving son Ian Smith from Illinois, her adoring daughter Leslie (Dani) Smith (Her favorite Son in-law Chris Zervas) from Ohio.

Her 5 admiring grandchildren: Casie (Daniel) Gust, Hailey Susor, Reagan Smith, Paul and David Zervas.

As well as her 3 caring great grandchildren: Nora Walter and Keira and Maximus Gust. A few others that were her favorites such as Gabby Williams (her singing and dancing caregiver) and Bob (Caregiver that kept my dad out of her hair).

Dorothy was born in Cincinnati Ohio where lived until her college years.

she attended The Art Institute of Chicago where she met her beloved husband Ronald Smith

She and Ron were married in November 6, 1965.

Dorothy also attended Wayne State University where she received her master's degree's in Commercial art Designer and Theatrical Scenic designer.

She had several hobbies such as watercolor painting, stained glass and macromae.

She loved to sew and was overall genuinely talented.

Another hobby was to bird watch as the species intrigued her.

Dorothy absolutely loved all of her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them.

She also had a great fondness for her cats with which they had several throughout her life.

The family is hosting a celebration of her life where food and drink will be provided on December 7,2024 from 6:00p to 9:00p. It will be held at A Space Away
