HILTON Dorothy Mae (Eichhorn) Dorothy Mae (Eichhorn) Hilton, born May 12, 1926, to George and Laura (Walters) Eichhorn in Clarington, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Ohio Living Swan Creek Retirement Village. Dorothy graduated from Clarington High School in 1944 and came to Toledo for employment in 1947. She worked at Libbey Glass, Kimble Glass and Champion Spark Plug, in the Aviation Department. Dorothy also worked and retired from the Credit Association of Northwestern Ohio. Dorothy was a member of the Credit Women’s Association. On July 6, 1962 she married her life partner, Marshall Paul Hilton, and they were married more than 50 years. Her hobbies were craft clubs, gardening flowers and vegetables. She fed the neighborhood with tomatoes and helped all the neighborhood children. She took an active interest in her many nieces and nephews, and loved to hear from them and stay in contact with them. One of her passions was compiling family history and photos, and leaving an accurate record for generations to come. She was a member of the former Broadway United Methodist Church for 51 years before it was torn down, and then became a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall, her parents, sister Lena Mick, and brothers Harold and Dr. Elmer Eichhorn. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, May 25th, beginning at 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
