Dorothy J. Heath

Dorothy J. (Nelms) Heath, 98, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home with family by her side. She was born in Leeds, Alabama on August 14, 1924 and came to Toledo at the age of 20.

Dorothy met her husband George while working at the Packard Motor Company and they were married in 1949 at Epiphany Lutheran Church. She was a life-long member of Epiphany. For many years, Dorothy worked as an Executive Secretary for Owens-Illinois.

She was a loving mother and her greatest joy was her children.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Daniel; daughter, Jennifer; and daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandson, Micah (McKayla) Heath; and two great-grandsons, Ryan and Grant Heath. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George and son David.

Visitation will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 North Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615 on Saturday, January 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00, with a service beginning at Noon. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
