Debbie L. (Westfall) Breisacher age 65 passed away July 14, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She passed peacefully with her brother Ron, sister Nadine and sister in law Debbi at her side. Debbie leaves behind her daughter Emma Crippen who resides in Atlanta. She was born to Ronald and Sarah (Parker) Westfall on August 14, 1956. She was a graduate of Robert S. Rogers High School. Debbie was a Senior Director for Ryder Systems, Inc. in their workers comp. division. She retired from Ryder in 2017 after 27 years. She spent the last 20+ years working for them in Atlanta. She took pride in her job and started at the bottom and worked her way up. She was a very dedicated employee. While working for Ryder she had the opportunity to travel to Australia for the company to learn a new computer system. She always said it was a trip of a lifetime. While living in Atlanta she made many very special friends in her neighborhood. She was an avid walker and walked daily by herself or with friends or taking their dogs for a walk. Her friends were very supportive of her and lended their support in whatever she needed. She loved all of those friends and their children. Her daughter and their children grew up together. As her disease progressed and she was losing her eye sight her friends stepped in to help her out in whatever she needed. When she was unable to drive anymore her friends set up a schedule and they took her to work every day and picked her up at the end of her work day. They would take her to the grocery store, doctor appointments, etc. And they checked on her daily. She enjoyed spring/summer vacations to Hilton Head with her daughter and friends. She loved her Starbucks coffee, sitting in her neighbors driveway and catching up on the day. She would come home at Christmas time to visit with her family. She had many family and friends visit her in her home in Atlanta. She took a trip to Rome with her daughter and had an audience with the Pope. Another trip of a lifetime for her. Debbie moved to Toledo in June 2018 into an assisted living home with her two cats Sophie and Pancake. She wanted to be closer her to her family because she knew the road she was about to travel. Her family was here to help her get thru this difficult time in her life. She was a huge U of M football fan. On game days she would ask her aides to dress her in her Michigan jersey. Her friends in Atlanta said she was always early to bed and early to rise. And even though she needed a lot of support for them she was a quiet support for many of them. She never missed watching David Muir on the national news nightly. She always said she was in love with him and was going to marry him some day. It became something we all teased her about. Debbie made friends with everyone. No one was a stranger to her. When she moved into assisted living she was by far one of the the youngest in the facility. She made friends with residents in their 80's and 90's. Unfortunately she had to witness the passing of some of those good friends. Her best friend by far was Dawn. Her family in Toledo so loved having here close so that they could take care of her. It wasn't easy watching her fight her battle with Alzheimer’s but she never lost her sense of humor and her family was always there for her. She leaves behind her daughter Emma Crippen, Brother Ron (Debbi) Westfall, Sister Nadine (Westfall) Morse, along with 7 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews and she loved them dearly. Her special friends in Atlanta Michelle, Laura, Tara, Chris, Patti, Anne, Jennie and Cathy. She was preceded in death by her parents Ron and Sarah Westfall. Her significant other Joe Crippen and her brother Paul Westfall. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and care givers at Story Point in Waterville for the special care they took with Debbie. Many of them would tell us that they loved Debbie. Also a big thank you to McKenzie who was her physical therapist. Debbie loved her visits with McKenzie. When McKenzie came to see Debbie she would be so happy. Special thanks to Elara Caring hospice for their care. We would like to especially thank Rich form Elara who sat with us until Debbie passed.
