David A. Guhl

David Guhl, 69, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on July 20, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 4, 1948. David was the son of the late Donald & Irene Guhl. He worked for 36 years as a sheet metal worker for the Local 33. David loved working in the trade, it took him to numerous job sites where he made many friends. There was never a dull moment when Dave was around. On September 21, 1968 he married Joyce, the love of his life. Together they embarked on the many adventures of life such as bowling, boating, dancing, camping, etc. Their biggest adventure was raising their three sons: Donny, David, and Chris. Dave truly loved his family and friends. He was the “go to guy” in the family. If you needed anything, he was ready and willing to be supportive. Dave’s father passed away when he was 19 years old. From that point forward, he took on the role of father and big brother to his two younger sisters, Barb & Diane, and his brother, Mike. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Joyce, sons, Donny, David (Meliza), and Chris. Also surviving, are his siblings: Diane Garcia, Barb (Rick) Lederman, and Mike (Cheryl) Guhl, grandchildren: Donny (Kelli), Haley, Sierra, Natalia, Nathaniel, Nyxie, great-grandson, Brayden, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614, Front Chapel, on Monday July 24, 2017 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday July 25th, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio. Those wishing to make a memorial tribute may do so at the charity of their choice.
