Cherie M Zattau

ZATTAU Cherie M. (Dolt) Cherie M. (Dolt) Zattau entered eternal life on September 7, 2016. She was born to William and Mildred Dolt on May 2, 1944. She graduated from Whitney High School in 1962 from their cosmology department and enjoyed nearly 40 years as a hair-dresser. In 1964 she married Jack Zattau and they enjoyed nearly 38 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. Cherie enjoyed spending her summers with great friends camping in Van Buren, Ohio and, for the past 35 years at Bear Lake in Hillsdale, MI. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Baldwin; sons, Brian (Cindy) and Greg (Amy); grandchildren, Zachary LaFountain, Dustin, Brianna, Trevor, Marissa, and Tyler Zattau; great-grandson, Zane Jackson LaFountain; brothers, Charles (Carol) Dolt and Michael Baldwin; sister, Gay (Ken) Hosley, many nieces and nephews and longtime best friend, Carlene Staton. Cherie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Zattau; father, William Dolt, and brothers, Larry and Steve Baldwin. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne St., Maumee. The family would like to acknowledge the amazing staff at UTMC for their care and compassion, especially the 3rd floor MICU, and mom's angel on earth, Ethel.
