Carolyn Sue Schmidt

Carolyn S Schmidt 77 of South Toledo passed away Monday January 6 , 2025, in Toledo Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

 Carol worked at Jobst Institute before retirement. Her enjoyment in life was her daughters, grandchildren and great grands. She was very proud of them all. Carol loved to shop and find the good deals. She always took each family member's likes into consideration and picked out the best Birthday presents. She was our Carolyn, Gram, MeMe, GG and Gram Cracker. She was our person.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Frederick Schmidt: her parents Lonzo and Cassel Lay: sister Stella Dickens: parents in law Otto and Alice Schmidt: sister in law Beverly Painter and brother in law Keith Schmidt. She is survived by her brother Ozzie (Jackie) Lay: brother in law Bill (Gayle) Schmidt: sister in law Pamela (David) Rangel.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Sherri (Eric) Humason, Theresa Terry and Heather (Joshua Bryant) Schmidt: grandchildren Jessica (Josh) Foxwell, Emily Humason, Sarah (Rickey) Cousino, Benjamin Baranowski, Jacob Baranowski, Hannah Long and Ace Long: great grandchildren Jackson, Easton, Jayden, Lennox, Hunter, Hazel, Lucy, Lowen, Livvy and her tenth one due in May.

Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Monday, January 13th, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association.

Private services will be held for the family and Carolyn will be buried next to her husband at Toledo Memorial Park.
