Alice Jean (Purser) Chapman Alice Jean, 92, passed away peacefully October 20, 2017 at Hospice of NWO. She was born May 28, 1925 to Walter and Edna (Ferrenberg) Purser. She grew up in Oregon, Ohio and graduated from Clay High School. After graduation she started working at Libbey Glass and while there she met the love of her life, George Chapman and they were married Nov. 2, 1946. Alice devoted her life to her home and family. She loved playing Bunco, camping, and cheering the Ohio State football team and the Detroit Tigers. George preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her sister Arlene O'Neill and brother William Purser. She is survived by daughter Karis Nally and grandson Ian Nally and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale, Toledo, on Sunday, Oct. 29th at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Memorial Donations may be given to the Toledo Humane Society or Hospice of NW Ohio. The family expresses their gratitude for the wonderful care given to Alice by the staff of Hospice NWO and a special thanks to Judy Beckert for her love, support and immeasurable help.
