William E. “Bill” Olmstead, 79, of south Toledo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, with his family by his side. Bill worked and retired from Plabell Rubber Products Co. Bill also work at Inky’s Italian Restaurant for many years. Bill was an avid fisherman spending countless hours fishing on Vineyard Lake and at the family cottage in the Irish Hills of Michigan. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon, children Debra (David), Kevin, and Tonia (Troy); grandchildren John, Keri, Kelsey, Tiffany, Ciara, Amanda, Micala, Christopher and Jessica; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley, Nancy, Evelyn; brothers Jim (Linda), Jack (Alta), Donnie (Kim) and Darrell (Connie). Visitation will be held at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, on Friday August 31st from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Willow Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
