Rosetta Louise Steinmiller (“Rose”) was born to Louis and Lucille Bessinger in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on October 1, 1925. She was raised on a farm during the Great Depression, attended high school during WWII, and graduated as president of her nursing class a year after the War ended. She was married to her sweetheart, Army veteran John L. Steinmiller (1923-2000) on November 24, 1946. They had two children, Philip J. Steinmiller and Carol Ann Steinmiller (1957-2012). Rose served as a nurse at the Medical College for nearly 40 years. A lifelong parishioner at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Rose was hard working, independent, generous, and kind-hearted. Rose passed on October 28, 2021 in Miami, FL at 96 years of age surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son, Philip, his wife Esperanza, her four beautiful granddaughters Monica, Rebecca, Erica and Jessica and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends & family may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Rosetta will be interred in Upper Sandusky alongside her husband and parents.
