Robert Farnum Peckham

Robert Farnum Peckham, age 88, passed away January 13, 2022. Bob was born April 3, 1933, in Albany, NY to Earl Llyod and Abbie Christine (Lillie) Peckham. He loved to tell stories about growing up on Muitzeskill Rd in Schodack Landing, NY with his siblings Rodney L., Jim M., Ted L., and Susanne L. Peckham. Bob went to Indiana Tech University to become a civil engineer. He married his wife Constance E. (Dussault) in 1958 and they settled in the Toledo, OH area to raise their family. They were happily married until Connie’s death on June 7, 1986. Bob married Donna Jean (Fisher) Peckham July 1, 1988. They were happily married until his passing. They enjoyed outdoor activities, spending time together, and having family gatherings. Bob was a hard worker and a faithful family man. One of his greatest passions was his farm where he raised all his family’s beef and had a prolific vegetable garden. He loved taking care of his animals, building things, and fishing. His children and grandchildren will always remember how he loved to play with them, playing cards and taking them fishing. Central to Bob’s life was his faith in God. He could be found at the start of every day sitting at the kitchen table reading his bible and journaling. He was faithful in church attendance from young childhood and his church family was always a vital part of his life. His life exemplified his core values of hard work and faithfulness. His pride and joy were his family. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, and best friend, Donna J. Peckham, daughter Jillian C. De Moya and Samuel, Levi, Lucas, Salomé, son Ted R. Peckham and Beth, Samantha, Thomas and Christina, Kyle, Don and Deb, Chris and Starla, Bryan Whiting, Doug, Zack, Andrew and Kyleigh Whiting Robin Whiting, Lindsey Oehlers and Eric, Traci Bekier and Eric Mathewson, Kelsey, Robbie and Allie, , 9 great grandchildren and special mention Buddy, his faithful dog. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., Toledo on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 4-6 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 6 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in remembrance of Bob and his love of children.
