Robert Charles Stainbrook, I

Robert “Bob” Charles Stainbrook, I, age 87, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Bob was born on February 1, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Oscar and Anna (Steih) Stainbrook. Bob graduated from Libbey High School in 1949. Bob married Gloria J. Wright, and soon after, enlisted in the US Army in 1951, serving in the Korean War. Following his service in the Army, Bob enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Toledo, completing a five year degree program in 3 1/2 years. Bob was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company for 33 years. After retiring from Eli Lilly, he went to work for the UTMC Pharmacy Department, working there for another 16 years. After his first wife Gloria passed, Bob married Wynette Marie Huner. Bob was a member and officer of the Toledo Academy of Pharmacy and elected member of the Lucas County Republican Party Central Committee. Bob was a past elder and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Gloria (1986) and Wynette (2012); survived by his sons Robert C. Stainbrook, II (Cindy Garcia) and Jon C. Stainbrook; grandchildren, Robert C. Stainbrook, III (Amy Golamb), Andrew Stainbrook (Erin) and Samantha Stainbrook (Corey Harvey); great-grandson, Robert C. Stainbrook, IV; former daughter-in-law, Janice Stainbrook; brother, Richard Stainbrook (Leora); sisters-in-law, Marci Likens and Rita Shuette; brothers-in-law, Norb Huner (Barb), Howard Wright and David Wright; many nieces and nephews; special family friends, Kelly Bensman and Meghan Gallagher; and his dog and buddy, Oscar. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Wednesday, February 14th from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Avenue, Toledo.
