Robert “Bob” Raymond Litten, age 86, of Lambertville, MI passed away on February 25, 2024 at Hospice of NW Ohio. Born on August 6, 1937 in Lambertville, MI, he was a treasured dad, “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and dear friend to multitudes of people.
Bob served in the Ohio National Guard for 8 years. In his professional life, Bob followed in his father’s footsteps, starting as dispatcher for Dundee Trucking, becoming terminal manager for Jones Transfer, and eventually retiring as VP of Marketing.
Bob was a servant of Christ since age 38. He was a faithful member of Calvary Church for almost 40 years. He spent his life serving the Lord in prison ministry, helping start a Christian school, serving on church and school boards, leading Bible studies and teaching Sunday School for over 20 years.
His heart and passion was to reach others for Christ and he loved to pray for people.
Bob was known for his quick wit and loved making people laugh. He often said, “ If I can make people laugh, I’ve lived a good life.”
He was full of grace, forgiveness and generosity. He often enjoyed hosting many dinner parties for his neighbors, friends and family.
Many Sundays were spent watching football, especially his beloved Cleveland Browns! An avid tennis player, he continued playing into his 80’s and was proud he could play tennis with his great grandson.
Bob was preceded in death by his sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Rosemary, along with his sister Phyllis Kelsey and brother Jim Litten. He is survived by his children Julie (Ron) Matanick, Jackie (Tim) Mohler, Jon Litten; grandchildren Joshua Matanick (Raquel), Kayla (Jeremy) Holloway, Cody Mohler (Kyra), Tyler (Madeline) Matanick, Alyssa Mohler and great grandchildren Scottie, Aubrie, Simon Matanick, Anaya, Asher, Grace, Jeremiah Holloway and Zeppelin Matanick, sisters-in-law Sandy Wilhelm and Loleta Harrington, nieces Jonette Schmidt and Sheila Litten.
