Pamela B. Vernon

Pamela B. Vernon, 80, of south Toledo passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born on March 28, 1943 in Toledo to Edward and Ruth Erwin. Pam loved her career as a medical receptionist, especially the relationships she formed with the patients. She was the most amazing Mother and Grandmother anyone could ask for and was affectionately known as “Gramma Pam” to many. Pam devoted her life to her family, always putting them first.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter- Lisa, sisters- Patty, Rita and Joy, brother-Richard and nephews- Robbie and Patrick. Left to cherish her memory is her sister- Kris Kakos, son- Clint (Debbie) McBee, daughters – Lori Bigelow, Beth Waller and Diana (John) Heagy; 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pam is also survived by her dear friend Julie Mathison and her fur baby, Katie.

Friends may call on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 10 AM-12 Noon at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., where funeral services will begin at Noon. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of NW Ohio.
