Maribelle Sanzenbacher

Maribelle Sanzenbacher, age 92, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Kingston Residence, Perrysburg, Ohio. Maribelle was born to Othel and Ruth Bennett on August 1, 1929 here in Toledo. Maribelle was a graduate of Libby High School. She worked in the offices of JCPenny for many years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and she was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers. Maribelle was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, of 55 years, Richard Sanzenbacher and her brother, Gordon “Buddy” Bennett. She is survived by her children; Cyndi Labarge, Michael (Diane) Sanzenbacher and Richard M. Sanzenbacher; sister Joann Szalkowski; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 2nd, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, March 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family request that all visitors please wear a mask if you are planning on attending the visitation and service.
