Jack W. Mehle Jack W. Mehle, 91, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019. Jack faithfully served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Jack worked for the A& P Tea Co. for over 49 years, retiring in 1995. During his retirement he worked for the Toledo Auto Care company and Avis Rental Car. Jack and his wife Edith have been longtime members of Calvary Church, where Jack was a faithful volunteer with the Bus Ministry, as a driver and Bus mechanic. Jack loved riding his bicycle and had logged over 60,000 miles of riding. Jack is survived by his wife of 70 plus years, Edith Hall Mehle and they celebrated their anniversary on Veterans Day; children Brenda (Bob) Engle, Rick (Jackie) Mehle and Marilyn (Gary) Pontious; grandchildren, Gary (Monica, Ben (Lisa), Bridgette (Clint), Christi (Brent), Kim, Branden (Jerid), Britteny (Scott) and great-grandchildren McKinley, Trey, Mason, Denae, Olivia, Joe, Courtney, Trenton, Maci, Jack, Addison, Caroline and Chief. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Sunday, January 13th from 3 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will begin at the funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
