Helen Louise Ziegler

Helen L. Ziegler (Wirebaugh), of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the age of 90. Helen was born February 23, 1928 to Walter and Glada Wirebaugh. Helen raised in Bradner, Ohio, graduating from Bradner High School in 1946. She attended Elkhart Indiana Business/Medical Technician School. Helen worked various places as a Secretary/Bookkeeper, retiring in 1983 from Toledo Chapter of The National Management Association. Helen was a life-long member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and also an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, Past Matron of Triune Chapter No. 344, Past Mother Advisor of Maumee Assembly No. 30, Order of Rainbow for Girls, and a Member of the Scottish Rite Ladies’ Auxiliary. Helen was married to husband Richard in 1953. He preceded her in death in 2015, having been married 62 years. Surviving are her son, Thomas R. Ziegler, M.D., daughter, Debra L. Pratt, grandchildren, Christine M. Hayes and Andrew L. Pratt (Natalee), four great-grandchildren, Alayna, Anthony, Dean and Fiona, Sister-in-Law, Patricia Ziegler, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Louis and sister Laurene. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16th at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m. with Triune Chapter O.E.S. service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 17th, at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
