HAROLD N. WANDTKE Harold N. Wandtke, age 93, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017, in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 3, 1923, in Toledo to William and Estella (Grow) Wandtke. Harold was a graduate of Woodward High School where he played both baseball and football. He proudly served during World War II in the U.S. Army as a Technical Sergeant, 631st Quarter Master Company, and attended annual Army reunions for many years. Harold worked for the H.C. Albring Company and the Allied Chemical Company (Plaskon Division) until his retirement. He was an avid baseball fan (especially of the Detroit Tigers), enjoyed gardening, loved to golf, and traveled to most of the 50 states. He was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Wandtke, his wife Hildegard Wandtke and his second wife Donna Wandtke. Harold is survived by his daughter Andrea (Roger) Prehn of Orlando, FL, his sons Rodney (Shari) Wandtke, Gary (Debbie) Wandtke both of Toledo, and Brian (Bonnie) Wandtke of Powell, OH. He is also survived by grandchildren Jill Prehn, Meredith Rollis, Eric Wandtke, Emily Wandtke, Amy Williams, Sara Rooks, Julia Blankenship, Jacob Blankenship and great-grandchildren Sloane, Emery, Olivia, Eden, Oliver, Maria, Chloe and Leo. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 8th at 3 pm, Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4100 West Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
