Gary W. Amstutz

Gary W. Amstutz, 68, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully during his sleep, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1954 to Harley and Irene (Sue) Amstutz, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a 1973 graduate of Rogers High School. Gary worked many jobs doing maintenance, carpentry and truck driving. He loved helping his friends and family with household remodeling jobs. He loved working with tools, gardening, yardwork, shopping and his beer.

He was always willing to work or fix something and could do anything. His favorite saying was “I am a Jack of all Trades, but a master of none.” He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, as well as a Detroit

Tiger fan.

Gary is survived by his sisters Jill (Dave) Juhnke  and Kay (Duke) Weiss; his children Gary, Heather and Gretchen Amstutz; and his beloved five grandchildren Devin, Jordan  Madison, Breonnah and Juliana. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brothers Ron and Glen (Rick) Amstutz.

A private celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walter Funeral Home.
