Donna Jean Hyter

Donna Jean Hyter of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2017 in Otterbein of Perrysburg. She worked for many years as the Executive Secretary for the Administrator of the Toledo Zoo. She also worked before retirement as a Secretary for Toledo Shipping. She is survived by her daughter Gayle (Paul) Schmidt, sons John (Deb) Hyter and Robert (Linda) Hyter, grandchildren Andrea Schmidt, Andrew (Jenna) Schmidt, Gabe (Amanda) Hyter, Tyson Hyter and Lindsey (Joey) Bowen, Steven Hyter and Matthew Hyter and many great grandchildren, sister Ruth (Larry) Durham, very special niece Ann Bondy, nephews John Starkloff, Kyle Starkloff, Kenny Durham and sister in law Carol Starkloff. She was proceeded in death by her husband Glenn W. Hyter, parents Harold and Wanda (Schmidt) Starkloff, brother John Starkloff, sister Karen Parker, nephews Russell Durham, Gib Bondy and great- granddaughter Meridian and great-grandson Skyler. Visitation will be at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale, Toledo, OH, 43614, Saturday July 22, 2017 from 9-11 with services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 Central Avenue, Toledo, OH 43606.
