Donna B. Conroy

Donna B Conroy, age 90, of Toledo Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was born in Toledo on March 2, 1931 to Irving and Carrie (Glassford) Grindle. She was a proud Scott High School “49er” helping to plan several reunions and attending reunion lunches more than 65 years after graduation. She loved the family pets, was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting and crafting with her sisters Bev and Phyllis. She is survived by her daughter Cathy (Tim) Shirley; grandchildren Brian (Krista) Shirley, Kyle Abel, Erin (Mike) Dugan; five great grandchildren; sister Gerry Heck, niece Libby (Gary) Poskarbiewicz, and additional nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Russell Grindle, Betty Grindle, Beverly Birkenkamp and Phyllis Lyell. The family wishes to acknowledge the skilled, loving care by The Lakes of Monclova care team and the Emergency Room staff at McLaren St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home located at 4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. The family asks that all visitors please wear a mask to the visitation and funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests tributes to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
