Dolores Marie Westphal

Dolores Marie (Keyser) Westphal of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully August 2, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio at the age of 89. Dolores was born to Frederick and Marie Keyser on October 22, 1926. She graduated from Libbey High School, and married Robert P. Westphal on May 31, 1947. Dolores assisted her husband Bob in starting their family business, Westphal Electric, which they initially operated out of their home. She was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with friends. Dolores loved to knit and crochet, creating and donating hundreds of hats and blankets for premature infants in need. Surviving is her sister, Marilyn Bartnik of Indiana. Also surviving are her children, Don (Ellen) Westphal, Denise (Gary) Hersch, David (Julie) Westphal, Dawn (Jeff) Durivage; grandchildren Julie (Mark) Hudecek, Jennifer (Nick) Campanella, Adrienne (Chris) Lange, April Hersch (Jay Santos), Alex (Amanda) Westphal, Nathaniel (Shannon) Westphal, Mary and Claire Westphal, Bryan and Sean Durivage; great-grandchildren Jenna, Tommy and Michael Campanella, Brayden Hudecek, Charlotte and Julia Lange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Funeral services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
