Coy L. Eakin

Coy L. Eakin, 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Coy was born on November 29, 1938, to Troy and Edna (Roach) Eakin in Center Valley, AR. Coy worked for the City of Toledo for 21 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening and working in his yard. He admired the many birds that visited his yard, especially the hummingbirds . Coy was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter Marieda Ann; son Cary and brothers Charles, VanRay and Burl. He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Lillian (Lil); son Michael (Shona) Eakin; sister Betty Weir; and grandchildren Brandon and Elizabeth Eakin. Visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday, June 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Coy will be buried in Moreland-Hudson Cemetery, Moreland, AR.
