Chris A. Geib Chris A. Geib, 61, Perrysburg, peacefully entered the arms of Jesus at the Cleveland Clinic Monday, October 14, 2019, surrounded by his family. Chris was born March 2, 1958 in Fremont, Ohio to Gene and Donna (Soyster) Geib, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Alicia. He was a 1976 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, and a graduate of Bowling Green State University with both Bachelor and Master degrees. While at BGSU, Chris was an active member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Chris had a varied work career, working both in business and academic settings. During his career, he owned Fast Company in Bowling Green, a Budget Blinds franchise, as well as many other business endeavors. He also worked for BGSU and Rhodes State College in Lima. Chris was a fun-loving guy who was easy to be around, and always good for a laugh. He had many nicknames, including Gibby, Geiber, and Giblet. He was a very loyal friend who enjoyed many long-term friendships, including old friends from Fremont, his college days, and his fellow followers of Jesus. He was a committed disciple of Jesus, serving with his devoted church family at One Hope Church. He enjoyed his monthly trivia nights with the camaraderie of his trivia friends. He will be greatly missed, but we know his health problems and suffering have ended as he has entered Christ’s eternal glory. We all look forward to the day we are reunited with Chris in heaven. Rest in peace, dear Chris, until we meet again. + Chris is survived by his brother David of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his niece and nephew: Skyeler of Orlando, FL and Jackson of San Diego, CA; his cousins: Mike (Kathie) Geib of Fremont, Nancy (Jim) Riley of Bay Village, OH and Terriee Smith, Melbourne, FL; Second cousins Seth Geib and Tyson Geib, both of Perrysburg, OH; his God daughters: Erin Monnot of Fairview Park, OH and Lindsay Milner of Toledo, OH; and his many devoted friends in the Toledo area, Fremont, and across the country. The Celebration of the Life of Chris Geib will be Thursday, December 5, 2019, 7pm, at One Hope Church, 4621 Glendale Ave., Toledo. Officiants will be Pastors Josh Kaiser and Todd Milner. A dessert reception will follow the service. Private interment will take place in Florida. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to One Hope Church or the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
