In loving memory Charles Krohn Charles (Chuck) Krohn, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28. He is now with the love of his life Virginia, who preceded him in death on June 8th, 2007. He missed her immensely. A day never went by that he didn't talk about how wonderful she was. Charles was an Army veteran of WWII. After returning from the war he began working at the Doehler Jarvis Co., where he met his soulmate Virginia. They married May 16, 1953. He also worked for the DeVillbiss Co., Teledyne, and finally retiring from the Ford Motor Co. He was very proud of having the ability to be able to fix just about anything that decided to break. He never stopped until he succeeded. He and Virginia loved to gamble. They took several vacations to Las Vegas. He knew everything about "The Strip". Between their Vegas trips, they also began to take gambling junkets to other casinos, east, west, north and south. After his wife passed, he was fortunate enough to be able to continue on with his gambling ventures alongside his daughter, Charlene. People recognized him wherever he went, him and his handlebar mustache. He was always a joy to be around. His quick wit and joking personality will be missed by all who crossed his path. Surviving are his children: Robert Krohn, Randy (Cathy) Krohn, Charlene Ostafi, David (Darlene) Krohn. He is also leaving behind 6 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were private. If you wish, memorials may be given in his name to a charity of choice. Condolences to the family may be expressed at walterfuneralhome.com or Walter Funeral Home Facebook page.
